“Caring for people and involvement in the community puts me in touch with our client’s needs.”
Whether it’s complex estate planning or simple wills, helping an elderly client to receive Medicaid/Medicare benefits or protecting citizens’ rights as a board attorney, my diverse experience provides me with an understanding of our client’s needs. I am proficient in a wide range of legal issues affecting the elderly population including estate planning, Medicaid Law, guardianships, and estate administration. It is important to me to be an advocate on behalf of the elderly client and give the clients the information they need to make informed decisions.
I am a Certified Elder Law Attorney, also known as “CELA”. This Certification is given by the National Elder Law Foundation to lawyers who have enhanced knowledge, skills, and experience in the specialized area of law dealing with issues affecting the elderly and disabled. Whether it’s helping an elderly client to receive Medicaid / Medicare benefits or protecting the rights of an incapacitated person, my experience in the field of Elder Law provides me with an understanding of my client’s needs and the insight to anticipate future needs.
I have been committed to the practice of law since December 1991. I am also an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. This accreditation is given to recognized estate planning professionals who meet special requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation, and character.
